Description
Dr. Schwent earned a B.S. in Biology with honors from Truman State University and a Medical Degree with honors from Saint Louis University. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Emory University, serving as Chief Resident, and remained for a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Diseases. He later joined Emory’s faculty as an Assistant Professor. Board-certified and a fellow of the AAO, he specializes in retinal detachments, vascular diseases, macular degeneration, macular surgery, diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, and uveitis.
